In support of carbon monoxide (CO) safety awareness, and after a successful launch of the program, SaskEnergy is extending its CO alarm rebate offer until March 31, 2021. Preparing for a Flood If you suspect any natural gas appliances might become submerged from flood water or sewer back-up, consider following these steps: Hire a licensed gas contractor to ‘shut off’ the gas at the supply valve to natural gas appliances that may be affected. SaskEnergy breaks all-time natural gas usage record three times in three days

Daily natural gas consumption in the province has set a new record of 1.43 PetaJoules (PJ) of natural gas. This record, set in the 24-hour period between 9 a.m. December 26 and 9 a.m. December 27, breaks new records set on both December 24 and December 25. These records all surpass the 1.33 PJ record from the winter of 2016/2017. Natural gas system outage in Melfort area

Early morning on Wednesday, January 10 th, 2018, SaskEnergy identified a significant pressure drop in its natural gas system near Melfort. As a result, approximately 4,500 customers in Melfort, St. Brieux, Kinistino and surrounding rural areas lost natural gas service to their homes and businesses. Public safety and system improvements focus of rate application

SaskEnergy has applied to the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel for a Delivery Service Rate increase to support continued elevated capital spending on system safety and customer growth initiatives totaling more than $50 million in 2017/18. SaskEnergy to close cashier services in Regina and Saskatoon

Closures to be implemented February 1 st, 2017 SaskEnergy will discontinue cashiering services at its Regina and Saskatoon service centre locations in February due to a continual drop in customer use. Due to continued high levels of ground movement in key zones within six Last Mountain Lake communities, SaskEnergy today announced it will be permanently removing natural gas service for about 250 property owners, or about 16% of its customer base in the area.
